Gaffer / Grip (Full Time / Contract) Contract Duration: Full Time / Contract (with possibility of renewal) Location: Singapore (On-site) Employment Type: Full Time / Contract Department: Production / Creative Reports To: Senior Producer / Director of Photography (DOP) About the Role We are seeking a reliable and experienced Gaffer / Grip to support video and photo productions across commercial, branded, and community-focused projects. This is a hands-on, on-set role ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of lighting, rigging, and grip equipment, who can work efficiently in fast-paced production environments while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will work closely with the Director of Photography, producers, and camera team to execute lighting and rigging setups that support the creative vision and production requirements. Key Responsibilities 1. Lighting & Grip Setup (On-Set Execution) Set up, adjust, and operate lighting equipment according to the DOP’s direction Handle grip equipment including: Light stands C-stands Flags, nets, diffusers Rigging and support systems Ensure lighting continuity across scenes and shooting days Assist in achieving the desired mood, exposure, and visual consistency 2. Equipment Handling & Safety Load, unload, and transport lighting and grip equipment Ensure all equipment is set up safely and securely Identify and mitigate on-set hazards related to lighting, cables, and rigging Maintain cleanliness and organisation of equipment on set 3. On-Set Support & Collaboration Work closely with: Director of Photography Camera operators Production crew Respond quickly to lighting or rigging adjustments during shoots Support both indoor and outdoor shoots, including night shoots if required Follow production timelines and shooting schedules efficiently 4. Pre-Production & Wrap Assist with basic lighting prep and equipment checks before shoot days Support strike and wrap-down of lighting and grip setups Report equipment issues or damages promptly Requirements Experience & Skills 1–3 years of experience as a: Gaffer Grip Lighting Assistant Camera Tech Working knowledge of: Professional lighting equipment Grip and rigging tools Understanding of basic cinematography and lighting principles Physically fit and able to handle equipment safely Ability to follow technical instructions accurately Preferred Attributes Prior experience on: Commercial shoots Social media / digital content productions Event or community-based shoots Calm, professional, and safety-conscious on set Team player with a positive attitude Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented Comfortable working long hours or irregular shoot schedules when required
