About this role
COMIT provides assessment, counselling, therapy, case management and psychoeducation support for clients with mental health issues and dementia, including their caregivers. COMIT works closely with the community outreach teams, General Practitioners, Polyclinics and other community partners to provide holistic care to clients. The Project Lead is to co-lead the team in managing community mental health interventions and programmes and uplifting the professional practice in social work and/or counselling. He/she guides multi-disciplinary teams to implement and evaluate casework and group work and organises strategic community development initiatives, programmes, and research. He/she supervises social workers and/or counsellors and supports their professional development. Taking strategic direction from the senior leadership of VCS and reporting to the Division Head for DCHMH, the Practitioner is insightful, responsible and possesses the willingness to supervise. He/She also collaborates with other agencies and ministries in the course of his/her work and provides comprehensive support for team members to increase their effectiveness in their practice competencies. Perform stakeholder engagement and partnerships Conduct Casework and Counselling Conduct Group Work Deliver Programmes Uplift professional practice in social work and/or counselling Skills and qualifications: Degree level in SocialWork/Counselling or equivalent Registered Social Worker withSASW / Registered Counsellor with SAC Management experiencereporting to director level At least 10 years ofexperience within a social service environment with exposure tomulti-disciplinary team (MDT) and/or inter-disciplinary team (IDT) approaches Experience of reporting KPIsto senior management Well-versed in competencyframeworks utilised in the social service sector (e.g., National Mental HealthCompetency Framework, National Social Work Competency Framework, SkillsFramework for Social Service, etc.)
