We are seeking an Electrical & Automation Engineer to design, install, commission, and maintain electrical and automated controlsystems across our production and facility operations. The role combineselectrical engineering fundamentals with automation technology (PLC, SCADA, andmechatronic systems) to improve equipment reliability, safety, and productionefficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with production,maintenance, and project teams to keep systems running and to drive continuousimprovement. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and modify electrical and automation systems for machinery, production lines, and facility equipment. Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, and sensors/actuators to meet operational requirements. Install, test, and commission new equipment and control panels; support upgrades and retrofits of existing systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, control, and mechatronic systems to minimise downtime. Diagnose electrical faults and automation malfunctions, and implement effective root-cause solutions. Prepare and maintain technical documentation — electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control logic, and equipment manuals. Support automation and process-improvement projects to raise productivity, quality, and energy efficiency. Liaise with vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers on procurement, servicing, and technical support. Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and operators as required. Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline. Experience 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, industrial automation, or maintenance within a manufacturing, facilities, or industrial environment. Fresh graduates with strong internships or project experience may be considered for a junior level. Technical Skills Solid grounding in electrical systems, motor controls, and power distribution. Hands-on experience with PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, or Omron). Familiarity with SCADA/HMI systems, VFDs, industrial networks, and sensor/instrumentation setup. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings. Working knowledge of automation and mechatronic system integration. Personal Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a methodical, safety-first approach. Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Good communication skills; willing to support shift or on-call coverage where operationally required. Preferred / Advantageous Experience with robotics, IIoT, or Industry 4.0 initiatives. Knowledge of energy management and equipment reliability practices. Bilingual ability (English and Mandarin) to support communication with regional vendors or teams, where relevant.
