About this role

ROLE DESCRIPTION This role is responsible for supporting sales teams in positioning vendor solutions and driving business growth. It encompasses delivering comprehensive presales support, including solution pitching, demos, sizing, BOM creation, POCs, and RFP/RFQ input, while advising partners on vendor offerings to enhance customer engagement. The role also involves conducting enablement workshops and training to strengthen partner capabilities, with a clear focus on contributing to the achievement of quarterly product and service profit targets. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Product Specialists in positioning vendor solutions. Provide presales support: solution pitching, demos, sizing, BOM creation, POCs, and RFP/RFQ technical input. Advise partners on vendor solutions and help them sell to their customer base. Conduct enablement workshops and training for partners. Contribute to achieving quarterly product/service profit targets. The Solution Architect for this role must interact regularly with many diverse groups of people and must therefore exhibit a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills always. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE Strong people skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly and effectively Technical skills to design, size, propose, demo, and evaluate networking and security solutions Good administrative skills, with attention to detail and strong follow-up Knowledge of vendor technologies, especially Cisco networking and security General computer literacy Ability to apply effective solutions to customer needs Presales experience or certifications recommended Meticulous, proactive, result-oriented, and independent Ambitious, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments Experience in distribution supporting reseller markets highly recommended Minimum 5 years of experience in reseller/distribution with solution sales Demonstrable presales and channel experience in IT distribution PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Positive working attitude and pleasant manner Collaborative and cooperative Customer service focused, with urgency and initiative Organized and able to prioritize Self-motivated, proactive, punctual
