About the Role Wilmar Distribution is seeking a driven and versatile Trainee Executive to join our team. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role designed for someone eager to learn the full breadth of our Food business from the ground up. You will not be confined to a single function or a fixed scope of work. Instead, you will contribute to multiple areas of the business as needs arise, gaining a holistic understanding of how an integrated food agribusiness operation runs. This is the kind of role that suits a future generalist leader: someone who thrives on variety, takes ownership without being told, and is comfortable with ambiguity. If you want a comfortable, predictable job with a neat checklist, this is not it. If you want to learn everything and build a foundation for a broad career with a start-up mentality. What You'll Do Your responsibilities will span the full value chain and shift according to business priorities. Over time you can expect to be involved in: Business Development — identifying new opportunities, supporting partnership discussions, and helping grow our distribution footprint. Sales — supporting account management, working with customers and retail channels, and assisting with order fulfilment and follow-up. Marketing — contributing to promotional planning, product positioning, and trade marketing activities. Procurement — sourcing, supplier coordination, cost analysis, and inventory considerations. Catering & Operations — supporting day-to-day operational activities and ad-hoc projects as they come up. General Support — taking on whatever the business needs at any given time, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done. What We're Looking A strong work ethic and genuine drive. This role demands someone who is hardworking, self-motivated, and willing to go the extra mile. A good sense for data. You should be comfortable working with numbers, spotting trends, and using data to inform decisions and spot problems. Proficiency in Excel and an analytical mindset are essential. Versatility and adaptability. You must be willing and able to cover any function, switch contexts quickly, and contribute wherever you are needed — with no fixed timeline or rigid job scope. Ownership mindset. You take initiative, follow through, and treat the work as if the business were your own. A learning attitude. You are curious, coachable, and keen to understand how every part of the business connects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work alongside colleagues across all functions and levels. Why Join Us This role offers unparalleled exposure across the entire Agribusiness Supply Chain business. You will develop a rare breadth of commercial skills, build relationships across every function. For the right person — driven, adaptable, and hungry to learn — this is a launchpad.
