M&E Coordinator (Construction)

The M&E Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of all M&E works at site in a timely manner. Job Responsibilities Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications in order to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements/construction schedule. Liaise with design consultants on the design intent. Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies. Check and prepare material sample with shop drawing submission. Chair M&E coordination meeting. Prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuance. Assess, prepare and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors. Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services. Adherence to safety practices in the work place. Job Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized University. At least with 3 years of relevant work experience in coordination of M&E works with different trades (e.g. C&S & Archi) and other stakeholders (e.g. consultant and subcontractors) for large scale building projects with an A1 main contractor. Candidates with either mixed development, condominium or data center projects would have an added advantage. Understand contract requirement and M&E specification. Understand BIM concept and be able to supervise and push for M&E works to be completed timely with relevant stakeholders. Able to manage and solve complex problems at site. Understand all the essential code of practices and relevant authority requirements for submissions of documents and inspections. Understand and participate in the implementation of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) concept.
