Key Responsibilities Curriculum Leadership Own the curriculum architecture, scope and sequence, and long-term development roadmap for the Secondary English Mastery (SEM) programme. Design and develop comprehensive curriculum materials, lesson plans, classroom resources, and instructional frameworks for Secondary 1–4 students. Ensure curriculum alignment with Singapore's MOE Secondary English syllabus, assessment objectives, and national examination requirements, including GCE O-Level English. Continuously review and enhance curriculum based on classroom performance, teacher feedback, assessment data, and educational best practices. Curriculum Development Develop teacher-ready lesson plans, teaching protocols, classroom activities, worksheets, assessments, model answers, and instructional resources that teachers can deliver confidently with minimal additional preparation. Create differentiated learning materials that cater to varying student abilities while maintaining curriculum rigour. Design assessments, rubrics, marking schemes, and answer keys aligned with programme learning outcomes. Ensure all curriculum content maintains high standards of academic accuracy, consistency, clarity, and instructional quality. Teacher Enablement Conduct curriculum briefings and onboarding sessions for teachers. Lead teacher calibration sessions to ensure consistent curriculum delivery and assessment standards across all centres. Provide ongoing curriculum guidance and instructional support to teaching teams. Gather classroom insights and teacher feedback to continuously improve curriculum effectiveness. Collaboration & Quality Assurance Collaborate with academic leaders, subject specialists, editors, and instructional designers to enhance programme quality. Review and quality assure all curriculum materials through proofreading, fact-checking, and content validation. Stay informed of developments in Singapore education policies, curriculum trends, assessment changes, and teaching methodologies. Commercial Awareness Develop curriculum with an understanding that exceptional classroom experiences contribute to student engagement, parent confidence, retention, trial conversion, and enrolment growth. Balance sound pedagogy with practical classroom implementation and business objectives to ensure the programme remains both educationally impactful and commercially competitive. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related discipline. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Secondary curriculum design, curriculum leadership, or educational content development. Prior teaching experience in Secondary English within Singapore schools or recognised enrichment centres is highly preferred. Deep knowledge of Singapore's Secondary English curriculum, MOE syllabus, assessment objectives, and GCE O-Level English examination requirements. Demonstrated experience designing curriculum frameworks, scope and sequence, assessments, and instructional resources. Strong understanding of curriculum design principles, instructional strategies, and differentiated learning approaches. Excellent English language proficiency with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, teacher-ready instructional materials. Experience supporting, coaching, or briefing teachers on curriculum implementation is an advantage. Strong project management, organisational, and stakeholder management skills. Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
