The Quantity Surveyor cum Drafter is responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, tender documentation, and project budgets while producing detailed technical drawings and construction documentation. This role supports project planning and execution by ensuring cost efficiency, drawing accuracy, and compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Quantity Surveying Prepare quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Develop cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and project budgets. Assist in preparing tender documents, quotations, and contract documentation. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and recommend cost-effective solutions. Monitor project costs, variations, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare progress claims, payment certifications, and final account documentation. Track project expenditures and provide regular cost reports to management. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or project requirements. Drafting Prepare detailed construction drawings using CAD software. Produce shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation. Revise drawings based on site conditions, consultant comments, and client requirements. Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate drawing records and document control. Project Coordination Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients. Conduct site visits to verify measurements and monitor project progress. Assist in resolving design and construction issues. Support procurement activities by preparing material quantity schedules. Ensure timely submission of drawings and cost documentation. Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and drafting. Experience in construction, interior fit-out, or building projects is preferred. Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or BIM software is an advantage. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and project documentation. Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
