Pile-Driver Operator

Job Description & Requirements Operate pile drivers mounted on skids, barges, crawler treads, or locomotive cranes to drive pilings Moves hand and foot levers to control hoisting equipment to position piling leads, hoist piling into leads, and position hammer over piling Performing routine maintenance and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents and equipment The ability to quickly and repeatedly make precise adjustments in moving the controls of machine or vehicle to exact positions Fixing, servicing, aligning, setting up, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principle With strong knowledge in DCM Method, Micro-Piling, Conventional Piling and Underpinning Projects and other procedures and equipment necessary to deploy into the projects. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance bridges Knowledge of materials, methods, and the appropriate tools to construct objects, structures, bridges Critical Thinking by using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches Pile Driver Certificate and Crawler Crane Certificate
