Career Kaki announces a December 2026 closure. Compare its Singapore career guidance with ApplyLah and plan where your job search goes next.

Career Kaki’s live homepage says it is closing in December 2026. That changes the comparison: this is a decision about useful short-term guidance and a durable next step, rather than simply choosing a chatbot for your next year of job searching.

TL;DR

Career Kaki can help frame Singapore career and skills questions while available. Plan your transition using its official onward links. ApplyLah is relevant when you need job discovery and application execution, with 2.0 access and supported-system limits checked separately.

What is Career Kaki?

Career Kaki is GovTech’s AI career guidance assistant. Its official product description covers personalised job and course recommendations, with Singpass and Careers & Skills Passport integration.

The live service now displays a closure notice and directs readers to other services. The older GovTech overview remains useful for understanding its design, but the newer homepage notice should govern any decision to build an ongoing workflow around it. What is ApplyLah?

ApplyLah is built for job seekers across career stages, focused on Singapore and Asia. Its large job database connects discovery and matching with application preparation.

ApplyLah 2.0 finds and ranks roles, tailors materials from your background and supports auto-applying to suitable jobs you approve. Support depends on the employer system, required information and the access enabled for your account. Application records and employer confirmations are tracked separately.

The resume review is public. The broader 2.0 workflow has a waitlist and separate private beta invitations; joining the waitlist does not unlock every feature immediately. Public 2.0 pricing and allowances have not been announced.

Comparison

Start with the December 2026 notice

The service homepage announces the month of closure, without establishing an exact final day in the readable notice. Avoid leaving important decisions until the end of December. GovTech’s older overview describes the service as free; that does not cancel the current closure announcement or establish continued access afterwards.

Write down useful conclusions in your own words: the roles you want to explore, the evidence you already have, the skills you need to check and the questions still unanswered. This is a practical continuity step, not a claim that the service offers an export function. Do not assume chat history or profile links will transfer automatically to any successor destination. Use guidance to ask a better question

Career Kaki’s guidance-and-course emphasis makes it relevant before a job title is settled. Someone deciding between procurement, operations and customer success needs to compare daily responsibilities and entry requirements before producing tailored applications. A useful conversation ends with a testable next step, such as checking whether recent vacancies actually ask for the suggested skill.

Keep the distinction between exploration and eligibility. A plausible career path does not establish that you meet a particular job’s requirements. Take two actual job descriptions, underline mandatory experience and compare each requirement with a specific example from your background. Where the connection is weak, investigate the gap rather than asking AI to write around it. (Career Kaki live service and closure notice; GovTech Career Kaki overview)

Choose a destination for each task

The closure notice points job searches toward MyCareersFuture, course searches toward MySkillsFuture, in-person coaching toward Career & Skills Advisory, and profile updates toward Careers & Skills Passport. These are separate destinations for different needs. Follow the relevant official route and check its own access requirements; a link does not make every linked service interchangeable.

ApplyLah’s public resume review offers a separate way to examine your document. Its 2.0 workflow is waitlisted with an invited private beta. Do not mistake that for immediate replacement access to every function you used in Career Kaki. Check whether you need advice, a vacancy source, a skills record or help progressing applications, then choose for that task. Move from a career idea to a real application

Once the direction is clearer, move from broad suggestions to live vacancies. Compare responsibilities, location, working arrangements and required experience. Keep a short reason for including each role: it makes later tailoring more concrete and prevents a career exploration exercise from becoming an indiscriminate application list.

ApplyLah 2.0’s role is to connect job search and ranking with tailored materials and approved auto-apply on supported systems when enabled. That is a different task from deciding which occupation to pursue. An invitation to the beta and support for the employer’s application flow still matter. Retain a clear record of what the employer confirmed; a recommendation, draft or attempt is not an accepted application. (GovTech Career Kaki overview; ApplyLah 2.0)

Illustrative Singapore scenario: a logistics coordinator considering procurement

A fictional coordinator has supplier experience but does not know whether procurement is a realistic next move.

This is an illustrative decision exercise, not a live search, a product test or an application result.

  1. Clarify the move Use career guidance to list procurement tasks and questions about negotiation, purchase orders and supplier evaluation.
  2. Test against vacancies Read current Singapore roles and separate existing evidence from skills still to develop. Save the conclusions before Career Kaki closes.
  3. Continue deliberately Use the official onward service for courses or coaching. When ready to apply, use a job workflow such as ApplyLah, checking beta access and supported applications first.

Which should you choose?

Use Career Kaki while available for a focused guidance question, then follow the closure notice’s task-specific onward links.

Consider ApplyLah when your target role is clear and your main need is finding and progressing suitable applications.

For ApplyLah, you can review your resume or join the 2.0 waitlist. Check the other product's linked access terms before committing time or money.

Sources & method

Job-count methodology, 6 November 2026: ApplyLah reports an average of 65k+ jobs per month, confirmed by its team on 6 November 2026. An average across months is different from one specific window: a separate read-only snapshot counted 41,471 Singapore-eligible postings from 7 October, 09:52 SGT to 6 November 2026, 09:52 SGT, excluding suppressed and known-dead records. That snapshot does not independently establish the monthly average or unique live-vacancy count. Competitor figures retain their published geography and definition: monthly averages, 30-day postings and current board totals are distinct measures.
