For frontline work, an application may lead straight to a conversation about shifts, location and availability. FastJobs makes that contact central to its workflow. ApplyLah connects broader discovery to tailoring and supported applications. Compare the employer’s hiring route as well as the job itself.
TL;DR
Choose FastJobs for frontline discovery and the application or contact methods an employer enables. Consider ApplyLah for a broader search with supported approved applications. Neither a sent message nor a local application record proves an employer accepted your application.

What is FastJobs Singapore?
FastJobs describes its focus as connecting non-executive job seekers with employers. Its public pages promote mobile alerts, profile-based applications and direct chat.
Its help article is more precise about the process: applicants create a free account, open a listing and choose among the methods that employer has enabled. FastApply is a FastJobs profile-application feature; it is unrelated to the separate fastapply.co brand. (FastJobs careers and company overview; How to apply on FastJobs)
What is ApplyLah?
ApplyLah is built for job seekers across career stages, focused on Singapore and Asia. Its large job database connects discovery and matching with application preparation.
ApplyLah 2.0 finds and ranks roles, tailors materials from your background and supports auto-applying to suitable jobs you approve. Support depends on the employer system, required information and the access enabled for your account. Application records and employer confirmations are tracked separately.
The resume review is public. The broader 2.0 workflow has a waitlist and separate private beta invitations; joining the waitlist does not unlock every feature immediately. Public 2.0 pricing and allowances have not been announced.
Comparison
Compare the free account with your actual beta access
FastJobs’ application guide states that an applicant account is free and that the app or website can be used. Complete the relevant profile before relying on its profile-application route. This review did not test paid upgrades or infer candidate charges from employer advertising products.
ApplyLah offers public resume review. Its 2.0 workflow has a waitlist and separately invited private beta; no public 2.0 prices or application allowances have been announced. Compare the access you actually have before planning your search around automation. (How to apply on FastJobs; ApplyLah 2.0; ApplyLah resume review)
Resolve the practical job before contacting the employer
FastJobs’ stated audience makes it a relevant channel for non-executive searches. Read each role for the actual workplace, schedule and responsibilities. Two similar service or warehouse titles can involve different physical tasks, customer contact and working hours.
Set out your available days, earliest start date and travel constraints before shortlisting. Then read how the advertised pay is described and what information is still missing. Ask the employer about unclear terms in a specific way; a useful question is easier to answer than a generic request for more details. (FastJobs careers and company overview)
Use the method the employer has enabled
The official guide lists FastApply, direct messages, calls and WhatsApp as possible methods. An absent option means it was not enabled for that listing. Do not assume every vacancy offers a phone number or chat, or that contacting one employer establishes a universal FastJobs workflow.
Choose one appropriate route and keep a record. For a message, include the role title, a short relevant introduction and your genuine availability. For a call, keep those facts ready before dialing. If a recruiter asks for documents afterwards, confirm the recipient and send the version intended for that role.
Finding a job through another board does not establish that ApplyLah can submit to it. Its supported workflow connects discovery, ranking, tailoring and approved auto-applying on supported employer systems. Track employer confirmations separately from attempts and local records. Track the conversation through to a clear next step
FastJobs promotes employer chat, but a conversation still needs an actionable next step. After an exchange, note whether the employer requested documents, arranged an interview or simply acknowledged the message. These are different stages and should not all be labelled successful applications.
If an interview is arranged, confirm the address, time, contact and any materials to bring. If the employer is still assessing availability, preserve the exact schedule you supplied. A single accurate record prevents you from agreeing to incompatible arrangements or sending another application to a role already in discussion. Illustrative Singapore scenario: returning to shift-based work
Fictional example: Lina wants a customer-facing job and can work selected weekdays. This example does not describe a live opening.
This is an illustrative decision exercise, not a live search, a product test or an application result.
- Check the schedule She shortlists roles whose location and stated working pattern appear compatible, noting any shift details that need clarification.
- Use one enabled method She checks the listing’s options, updates her profile for FastApply or sends a concise availability message through an enabled contact channel.
- Record the next step She distinguishes an acknowledgement from an interview invitation. If she also uses ApplyLah, she checks supported jobs and prevents duplicate applications to an employer already in discussion.
Which should you choose?
Choose FastJobs when you want frontline-focused discovery and direct interaction through the methods a particular employer enables. Keep your profile and availability accurate.
Choose ApplyLah when your search spans broader job families and you want ranking, tailoring and approved supported applications in one workflow. Check access and system coverage before relying on it.
For ApplyLah, you can review your resume or join the 2.0 waitlist. Check the other product's linked access terms before committing time or money.
Sources & method
Job-count methodology, 6 November 2026: ApplyLah reports an average of 65k+ jobs per month, confirmed by its team on 6 November 2026. An average across months is different from one specific window: a separate read-only snapshot counted 41,471 Singapore-eligible postings from 7 October, 09:52 SGT to 6 November 2026, 09:52 SGT, excluding suppressed and known-dead records. That snapshot does not independently establish the monthly average or unique live-vacancy count. Competitor figures retain their published geography and definition: monthly averages, 30-day postings and current board totals are distinct measures.
