An internship can match your interests and still fail on dates or duration. INTERNSG helps surface those practical constraints. ApplyLah addresses a broader search and application workflow. The right choice depends on whether your bottleneck is finding a suitable placement or handling suitable applications.
TL;DR
Start with INTERNSG for a placement-led search where dates and employment type matter. Consider ApplyLah for broader discovery and approved supported applications; do not assume every internship is eligible for automation.

What is INTERNSG?
INTERNSG describes itself as a free portal focused on Singapore internships, traineeships, part-time work and graduate jobs. Its FAQ also names people returning to work or learning a new profession, so it should not be reduced to a students-only service.
The listings expose practical placement details. The application route must be read per vacancy: the FAQ refers to portal applications and resumes reaching companies directly, while a sampled software internship explicitly requested a text CV through InternSG. What is ApplyLah?
ApplyLah is built for job seekers across career stages, focused on Singapore and Asia. Its large job database connects discovery and matching with application preparation.
ApplyLah 2.0 finds and ranks roles, tailors materials from your background and supports auto-applying to suitable jobs you approve. Support depends on the employer system, required information and the access enabled for your account. Application records and employer confirmations are tracked separately.
The resume review is public. The broader 2.0 workflow has a waitlist and separate private beta invitations; joining the waitlist does not unlock every feature immediately. Public 2.0 pricing and allowances have not been announced.

A free placement channel and gated workflow access
INTERNSG’s applicant FAQ explicitly says it does not charge an administration fee. Public search lets you inspect opportunities before deciding which ones deserve a tailored application. A free application channel still requires time for checking the placement and preparing relevant evidence.
ApplyLah offers public resume review. Its 2.0 workflow has a waitlist and separately invited private beta; no public 2.0 prices or application allowances have been announced. Compare the access you actually have before planning your search around automation. (INTERNSG jobseeker FAQ; ApplyLah 2.0; ApplyLah resume review)
Resolve availability before writing the application
The job list displays periods, locations and employment categories. Use those fields as an initial screening pass, then read the complete description. Do not treat a preferred start month as proof that an employer will accept a shorter commitment.
Write your actual available dates at the top of your working notes. Include examination periods, a planned return to classes or other fixed commitments. If a role requires a longer placement, seek clarification before investing in extensive preparation. A technically suitable applicant can still be unavailable for the work being offered. (INTERNSG latest listings)
Read the instructions before choosing a document format
The sampled OrcaSlicer internship requested a text CV through InternSG. That is useful concrete evidence of a portal route, but it does not establish one universal process for all employers. Open the application instructions on the vacancy you actually want.
Prepare a readable account of your relevant coursework, projects or employment. A project description should say what you built, your role and the tools you used. If an instruction asks for text, check that headings and links remain understandable after pasting; decorative document layouts may not survive that format.
Finding a job through another board does not establish that ApplyLah can submit to it. Its supported workflow connects discovery, ranking, tailoring and approved auto-applying on supported employer systems. Track employer confirmations separately from attempts and local records. (OrcaSlicer internship application instructions; ApplyLah 2.0)
Ask what the placement will teach and require
INTERNSG’s FAQ makes its screening limitations explicit. Before accepting, check the company’s identity and discuss the work with the actual hiring contact. Treat the existence of a listing as the start of research, not a substitute for it.
Ask who supervises the role, which tasks occupy a normal week and what you should be able to do by the end. Record the agreed dates and responsibilities. When comparing two placements, a clear learning plan can be more informative than an impressive title with an unclear day-to-day brief. (INTERNSG jobseeker FAQ)
Illustrative Singapore scenario: a fixed internship window
Fictional example: Arjun can work from January to April before returning to study. This is a planning example, not a live vacancy recommendation.
This is an illustrative decision exercise, not a live search, a product test or an application result.
- Screen the calendar He rejects placements whose required duration exceeds his availability and saves those with a plausible timing match.
- Confirm the brief He checks the employer and supervisor, then selects a project that demonstrates the skills the placement actually needs.
- Use the stated route He follows the listing’s instructions and records what he sent. For a separate broader search through ApplyLah, he checks access and support before approving applications.
Which should you choose?
Choose INTERNSG when internship duration, start dates and placement type are central to your decision. Use its instructions and keep your own record of the application and any employer reply.
Choose ApplyLah when you need a broader shortlist and a connected preparation and supported application process. An internship’s presence on another board does not establish automated coverage.
For ApplyLah, you can review your resume or join the 2.0 waitlist. Check the other product's linked access terms before committing time or money.
Sources & method
Job-count methodology, 6 November 2026: ApplyLah reports an average of 65k+ jobs per month, confirmed by its team on 6 November 2026. An average across months is different from one specific window: a separate read-only snapshot counted 41,471 Singapore-eligible postings from 7 October, 09:52 SGT to 6 November 2026, 09:52 SGT, excluding suppressed and known-dead records. That snapshot does not independently establish the monthly average or unique live-vacancy count. Competitor figures retain their published geography and definition: monthly averages, 30-day postings and current board totals are distinct measures.
