What is Wantedly Singapore?

Wantedly Singapore presents a company-discovery experience built around meeting people and exploring shared values. Its public landing page invites candidates to request a casual chat through a visit action.

Wantedly’s help centre describes expressing interest from a project page and says the company contacts candidates if it wants to meet. A requested conversation therefore should not be counted as an interview invitation or a hiring decision. (Wantedly Singapore: company visits and conversations; Wantedly: meeting with or applying to a company)

What is ApplyLah?

ApplyLah is built for job seekers across career stages, focused on Singapore and Asia. Its large job database connects discovery and matching with application preparation.

ApplyLah 2.0 finds and ranks roles, tailors materials from your background and supports auto-applying to suitable jobs you approve. Support depends on the employer system, required information and the access enabled for your account. Application records and employer confirmations are tracked separately.

The resume review is public. The broader 2.0 workflow has a waitlist and separate private beta invitations; joining the waitlist does not unlock every feature immediately. Public 2.0 pricing and allowances have not been announced.

Comparison

Access and pricing

Wantedly’s user help page says signing up, downloading and using Wantedly Visit and People are free. The company subscription plans it links to concern employers. For the candidate workflow compared here, you can assess company discovery and requests for a casual chat without treating an employer subscription as your cost.

Free access does not guarantee a company reply, a visit or an offer. Decide whether an exploratory conversation fits your search and check any optional paid product separately. ApplyLah’s public resume review is separate from gated 2.0 access; its public 2.0 price and allowances have not been announced. (Wantedly: meeting with or applying to a company; ApplyLah 2.0 and resume review; Wantedly: is it free?)

Use the conversation well

Wantedly’s public explanation puts a casual conversation before a formal hiring interaction. That can be useful when you need context about how a team works. The company still decides whether to respond, so an interest request is an opening rather than a scheduled meeting.

Prepare questions that help you make a decision: what work occupies most of the week, how priorities are chosen, what the team needs from this hire and how success will be assessed. Ask for examples rather than accepting broad culture language at face value. A friendly discussion is useful evidence, but it should sit alongside the actual role expectations and practical employment terms. (Wantedly Singapore: company visits and conversations; Wantedly: meeting with or applying to a company)

Show what you can contribute

Wantedly’s help centre encourages candidates to enrich their profiles. For a conversation-led route, the useful question is what gives the team a reason to speak with you. Write a concise account of your work, the problems you can help solve and what you want to understand about their opportunity.

Avoid making a profile read like a list of values you assume the company wants. A concrete project, a difficult trade-off or a responsibility you handled gives someone something to ask about. Keep confidential details out, and distinguish your own contribution from the team’s result. The same evidence can later support a formal application without copying the entire profile into every document. (Wantedly: meeting with or applying to a company)

Track conversations and applications

A Wantedly interest request, a company reply and a formal interview are different milestones. ApplyLah 2.0 supports approved applications on supported employer systems and records employer confirmations separately. These routes can complement each other, but neither should inflate the other’s progress count.

Keep a simple opportunity record with the company, role, contact, current stage and next action. After a conversation, write down whether the team suggested a formal application and which route it expects you to use. If you also found the role elsewhere, avoid duplicate submissions. The goal is a clear next decision, not a busy list of clicks, chats and saved vacancies. (Wantedly: meeting with or applying to a company; ApplyLah 2.0 and resume review)

Illustrative Singapore scenario: exploring a smaller product team

A hypothetical Singapore product designer is considering a move from a large organisation to a smaller team. This example illustrates the choice between learning about a company and applying to a defined role.

This is an illustrative decision exercise, not a live search, a product test or an application result.

  1. Name the uncertainty The designer wants to understand research access, decision ownership and collaboration with engineering. Those questions concern the working environment, so a company conversation may be useful before committing to the move.
  2. Bring evidence and questions Prepare a short project example and questions about the team’s actual process. Request a conversation through the available Wantedly route, while recognising that the employer decides whether to respond.
  3. Move to a formal route deliberately If a suitable vacancy emerges, confirm its scope and application destination. Use one application route, including supported ApplyLah execution if available and approved, and record employer acknowledgement separately from the earlier conversation.

Which should you choose?

Choose Wantedly if your immediate task is understanding a company and starting a relevant conversation. Prepare specific questions and recognise that expressing interest does not guarantee a meeting.

Choose ApplyLah 2.0 if you are ready to compare defined vacancies and want ranking, tailoring and supported approved applications. Confirm beta access and the employer’s supported route before relying on execution.

For ApplyLah, you can review your resume or join the 2.0 waitlist. Check the other product's linked access terms before committing time or money.

Sources & method

Job-count methodology, 6 November 2026: ApplyLah reports an average of 65k+ jobs per month, confirmed by its team on 6 November 2026. An average across months is different from one specific window: a separate read-only snapshot counted 41,471 Singapore-eligible postings from 7 October, 09:52 SGT to 6 November 2026, 09:52 SGT, excluding suppressed and known-dead records. That snapshot does not independently establish the monthly average or unique live-vacancy count. Competitor figures retain their published geography and definition: monthly averages, 30-day postings and current board totals are distinct measures.
