Assistant Accountant

About the job You will perform hands-on operational finance tasks in a lean team, managing day-to-day accounting activities. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will support financial reporting and compliance and maintain strong internal controls. Responsibilities Manage full sets of accounts to ensure accurate financial records Prepare journal entries and post transactions to maintain up-to-date ledgers Perform bank reconciliations Assist in month-end closing activities to support timely financial reporting Support GST filing processes to ensure regulatory compliance Verify staff claims for reimbursement Provide assistance during year-end group audit processes to facilitate audit completion Manage HR & Payroll Execute other ad-hoc finance duties as assigned to support operational needs Preferred competencies and qualifications Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualification 3 to 5 years of experience handling a full set of accounting tasks Prior accounting experience in the construction industry / project management will be a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office and Xero Accounting Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate within the team This role is only open to Singaporean and/or Singapore PR Availability to start work on short notice
