About this role
The Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment (ISCE2) was established by A*STAR in 2022 to support Singapore’s sustainability goals, including the Singapore Green Plan and Zero Waste Masterplan, through strong international partnerships with industry, public agencies, and academia. ISCE2 is located at Jurong Island. You will play a key role in supporting the financial planning, budget management, and long-term financial projections to optimise resource allocation. You will prepare and present monthly reports to provide key financial insights for decision-making. Additionally, you will assist in corporate governance, risk management and business continuity management. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders at all levels within ISCE2, as well as various counterparts in HQ e.g. Finance, HR, ERMO etc. Job description: Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting exercise for cost centres and grants within the institute Oversee the utilisation of grants and resources to support forward planning. Perform long term financial projection for the institute, taking into account of pipeline projects Develop appropriate strategies to achieve effective resource management and optimal fund utilisation Oversee fund requests and project expenditure, including manpower costs so that grants are drawn down in a timely manner Prepare and/or present monthly management reports and analysis Review monthly financial reports and liaise with external stakeholders to rectify any discrepancies Assist with corporate governance, risk reporting and business continuity management Conduct briefings to stakeholders on new initiatives, guidelines/procedures to create awareness and promote greater synergy Manage and execute other duties, assignments and projects Job Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related fields with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
