The Assistant Accountant is responsible for Accounts Payable function for Australia, New Zealand and Thailand entities in a fast paced environment. Ensuring a smooth Accounts Payable operation and compliance with company policies, procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This position reports to the AP Manager and is part of the Finance Department located in 1 North Coast Avenue, Singapore and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Handle full spectrum of accounts payable (AP) role including but not limited to invoices, staff claims, payments, AP journals, balance sheet reconciliation and other monthly closing tasks with effective organization skills to maintain orderly records, ensure compliance with company policies, SOX requirements and meet stipulated timelines. Attend to queries, interact and correspond effectively to internal and external parties on AP related matters. Assist SOX, internal and external audits on AP-related areas. Handle other duties/ ad hoc tasks as assigned. The essential requirements of the job include: Minimum holding a Diploma in Accountancy with 5 years’ relevant experience, with 3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable. Experience in using Oracle R12 and Concur will be added advantage. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Other Finance related functions.
