We are hiring an experienced Operations Executive to support the end-to-end execution of physical and paper trades within the vegetable oils business. This role is responsible for managing cargo operations, shipping logistics, trade execution, and coordinating closely with traders, counterparties, shipping providers, banks, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely execution of contracts. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end execution of physical Vegoil/Palm Oil trades from contract confirmation through final settlement. Coordinate vessel nominations, loading/discharge operations, inspections, shipping documentation, insurance, and cargo logistics. Liaise with shipowners, brokers, agents, surveyors, terminals, customers, and service providers on daily operational matters. Execute paper trades, including strings, circles, and washouts. Handle Letters of Credit (LCs), negotiate documentary terms, and ensure compliance with UCP rules and contractual payment terms. Calculate and finalise laytime and demurrage, manage operational discrepancies, and follow up on claims when required. Work closely with Trading, Trade Assistants, Credit Risk, Treasury, Accounting, and overseas offices to ensure seamless trade execution. Maintain accurate operational records and update internal trading systems. Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures. Requirements 5–7 years of commodity trading operations experience, preferably within Vegetable Oils or Palm Oil. Proven experience managing end-to-end physical cargo execution. Hands-on experience with paper trade execution (strings, circles, washouts). Strong knowledge of Letters of Credit (UCP 600), FOSFA and PORAM contracts. Good understanding of charter party terms, shipping documentation, laytime, demurrage, and marine insurance. Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.
