Job Responsibilities Responsibilities Implement Design Rule Checks (DRC) and manage related system registrations. Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and address customer feedback. Prepare, manage, and obtain customer approval for product specification drawings. Review and monitor first article development results in collaboration with relevant divisions, focusing on high volume manufacturing. Provide technical and engineering support for in-process and full-scale production. Procedures & Operations Conduct and participate in design reviews, incorporating cross-functional feedback and manufacturability considerations. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Technology Planning Conduct surveys on customer and industry technology trends, including materials. Develop and maintain a Design for Manufacturability (DFM) checklist. Collaborate with manufacturing/certification or other stakeholder to incorporate simulation results into the product development process. Customer & Supplier Liaison Act as the primary liaison for customer technical inquiries. Coordinate and manage test vehicles, conduct DOE, data collection, and analysis. Handle vendor-related technical inquiries and discussions. Infrastructure management Manage CAD/CAM/CAE/EDA tools, including coordination with tool vendors for defect resolution and contract management. Oversee workstations, ensuring adequate processing power and optimal maintenance. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, as required to support the team and organizational goals. Job Requirements Professional Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical & Electronics/Engineering (Microelectronics & Semiconductor Technology) or equivalent qualification or experience. Experience in semiconductor post-processing or PCB design/manufacturing is preferred. Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM/CAE/EDA tools, including Cadence Allegro X Advanced Package Designer, Stella Fine Vision, IncamPro, AutoCad, ANSYS HFSS and Mechanical simulation. Knowledge of PCB Manufacturing Processes (etching, plating, drilling, lamination, AOI, impedance control, LDI, etc.) is desirable. Competencies: Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
