LIBRARY & PEDAGOGY ASSISTANT | FROM FEBRUARY 2027 Passionate about French language and literature? We are looking for a reliable and service-oriented intern to support library and language centre operations and events. This internship offers the perfect opportunity for hands-on experience in a dynamic cultural and educational environment centred on French language and literature. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Library Working closely with the Head Librarian, the intern will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations, promote and organise engaging events for a diverse group of library users. 1/ Library Operations • Support daily library operations, including processing loans, returns and shelving • Handle payments (fines, sales and membership renewals) • Recommend French reading materials tailored to age, language proficiency and interests 2/ Collection Management • Ensure the organisation, cleanliness and maintenance of the library collection • Assist with acquisitions, sorting, inventory checks and decommissioning of resources • Assist with projects to improve catalogue accuracy and searchability 3/ Library Events • Assist in planning and running literary events (including storytelling sessions, reading clubs, meet-the-author sessions, book sales, etc.) • Design promotional materials and update the library website to support event visibility and participation • Manage the content updates on the library’s Facebook Group page Language Centre Your tasks shall include the following: • Participation in course promotion campaigns • Preparation of teaching materials • Assistance during children’s and teenagers’ classes • Logistical support for examinations or competitions • Organisation of events for students • Coordination of holiday workshops and camps • Management of participant lists • Set-up of classrooms and equipment • Creation of Google Forms • Design and formatting of Canva and PowerPoint documents • Updating calendars and online platforms • Management of Zoom registrations and e-learning platforms • Research for partners or sponsors • Conducting student satisfaction surveys • Analysis of learners’ needs • Participation in new educational projects REQUIREMENTS • Excellent command of French (native/B2) and English, both written and spoken • Pleasant and polite disposition with a strong customer service mindset, especially in multicultural and dynamic environment • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and accurate, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently • Experience working with children and/or FLE learners is an advantage CONDITIONS & COMPENSATION • Contract duration: 6 months internship • Full time, 40 hours per week.
