3/ PRODUCTION & FESTIVAL ASSISTANT | FROM JANUARY 2027 CONTRACT DURATION : 6 months POSITION OVERVIEW : Alliance Française de Singapour is seeking a self-motivated, hands-on, and culturally curious Production & Festival Assistant to join its Cultural team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain insightful experience in the curation, production and communication of cultural programmes, including the French Film Festival and live performances. Working closely with the Cultural Programming Manager, the assistant will contribute to all stages of programme development — from movies and shows selection to negotiation of rights, audience engagement and operational delivery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Cultural Programming Contribute to the curation of Alliance Française’s annual programme of movie screenings, live performances, workshops, talks, and cultural encounters by proposing artistic ideas and supporting the development of new event formats. Watch preselected movies and write reviews in accordance to the marketing strategy to help determine the final line-up for the French Film Festival Conduct artistic research and benchmarking to ensure a diverse and relevant programme. 2. Events and Festival Production Serve as a primary liaison with artists, speakers, partners, and technical providers throughout the production timeline. For the French Film Festival, reach out to distributors and negotiate movie rights while ensuring the legal and logistical schedule is respected. Draft partnership and service agreements and follow-up on each party's accountability. Support budget monitoring: quotations, invoicing, purchase orders, payment follow-up, and expense tracking. Oversee event logistics (travel, accommodation, technical needs, hospitality, volunteers, set-up, and strike). Supervise on-site operations during events, ensuring an excellent partners and audience experience (which includes learning how to screen a movie) 3. Sponsors and Partnerships Development Identify and prospect new sponsors to support Alliance Française’s cultural activities. Prepare sponsorship decks and tailored partnership proposals (cash, in-kind, or media partnerships). Proactively promote and sell private, tailor-made cultural events (private screenings, curated workshops, bespoke cultural experiences) to companies and organisations. 4. Communication Develop and nurture partnerships with institutions, brands, and media able to amplify our visibility and outreach. Provide timely programme information and coordinate with the communication team to secure marketing visibility (editorials, listings, social media collaborations). PROFILE & SKILLS Requirements Excellent linguistic command of English and French (written and spoken) Strong organisational skills and attention to detail stemming from proven experiences in event management and production Genuine interest in arts, culture and creative industries nurturing a vivid creativity Polished communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to guide visitors and engage effectively with key stakeholders Ability to handle pressure, take initiative, and proactively take ownership of tasks Capacity to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and priorities at the same time Comfortable working with a degree of autonomy while remaining aligned with team objectives Willingness to work evenings or weekends when required Preferred Qualities Track record of missions in cultural and/or artistic institutions , or currently pursuing a degree in cultural management, art history, museum studies, design, or a related field Experience in exhibition curation and exhibition design , including spatial thinking and narrative construction Capacity to adapt to specific crowds and interlocutors: children, special needs individuals Familiarity with the Singaporean cultural scene CONDITIONS & COMPENSATION: • Contract length: 6 months, internship • Job type: Full-time: 40 hours per week • Working Hours: Tuesday to Friday: 10.30…
