About this role

Job Description Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, reliability, and service excellence. Manage and mentor facilities management teams, including senior managers, managers, executives, supervisors, technical officers, technicians, and support staff to ensure an efficient and collaborative work environment. Supervise IFM technical personnel, specialists, contractors, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure contractual obligations, service standards, and operational objectives are achieved. Evaluate operational performance and cost-effectiveness of outsourced services and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and value. Manage and monitor operational and maintenance budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control. Identify operational risks, project delays and budget variances, and implement timely mitigation measures to minimise operational impact. Ensure all maintenance activities, projects, and improvement works are completed in accordance with approved schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements. Maintain uninterrupted facilities operations by proactively managing manpower resources, succession planning, and workforce continuity, including timely replacement of personnel where required. Coordinate and manage external contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure service delivery meets contractual requirements, quality standards, and performance indicators. Establish and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to maximise asset reliability and minimise downtime. Ensure compliance with all applicable Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), environmental, fire safety, statutory, and quality management requirements. Review and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintenance schedules, and work programmes remain current, effective, and compliant. Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, recycling, and environmental best practices. Monitor facilities performance through operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs), identify improvement opportunities, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Lead facilities upgrading, renovation, Addition & Alteration, and improvement projects from planning through completion. Oversee the maintenance and performance of building systems and supporting services, including building fabric, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, landscaping, pest control, grease interceptors, scheduled maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and project works. Ensure all employees, contractors, and subcontractors comply with the organisation's Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) management system, ISO standards, and statutory requirements. Monitor waste management and recycling performance, implementing initiatives to achieve organisational sustainability targets. Conduct regular operational review meetings with the client and key stakeholders to review service performance, operational issues, improvement initiatives, and contractual deliverables. Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to senior management on facilities performance, maintenance activities, projects, risks, and improvement initiatives. Perform any other duties assigned in support of facilities management operations. Requirements Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building/Facilities Management, or related discipline with at least 15 years of relevant facilities management experience; or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Building/Facilities Management, or related discipline with at least 20 years of relevant facilities management experience. Proven experience managing integrated facilities management operations, multiple stakeholders, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong knowledge of building services, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, maintenance management, project management, and contract administration. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
