Overview Our client is a leading global financial markets and technology organization seeking an experienced Application Support professional to join its Singapore operations team. The role provides production and technical support for market data, analytics, and trading-related platforms within a global follow-the-sun support model. You will be responsible for monitoring production systems, troubleshooting complex technical and trading issues, supporting clients and internal stakeholders, and acting as a senior escalation point during the APAC coverage window. Responsibilities Provide production and application support for critical market data, analytics, and trading platforms. Monitor system health, production environments, batch processing, databases, and platform performance. Investigate and resolve complex technical, data, and trading-related incidents, including root cause and impact analysis. Use SQL to extract and analyse data and UNIX/Linux tools to investigate application and system logs. Support API-related issues across market data, order entry, and web services. Act as a senior escalation point and provide technical guidance to team members. Liaise with clients, financial institutions, vendors, and global business and technology teams. Support system configuration changes, testing, platform upgrades, and new functionality implementation. Participate in incident reviews and contribute to long-term platform stability and process improvements. Support client onboarding, platform access, service provisioning, and technical certification activities. Maintain technical procedures, operational documentation, and customer communications. Participate in on-call or testing activities when required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Business, FinTech, Financial Services, or a related discipline. 7+ years of experience in application support, production support, or a technical support role within a securities or financial markets environment. Strong understanding of financial markets and experience with equities, options, futures, indices, FX, market data, or market analytics. Strong hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux and log investigation. Good SQL skills with experience in data extraction, data mining, and troubleshooting. Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience handling production incidents. Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C# is advantageous. Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly during time-sensitive incidents and escalations. Ability to work independently within a global support environment and adapt working hours based on global market coverage requirements.
