We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to deliver high-touch, business-facing technology support to front-office users, executives, and employees within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role serves as a key point of contact for end-user technology support, ensuring incidents and requests are resolved efficiently while maintaining an exceptional user experience. Responsibilities Provide high-touch technology support to front-office users, executives, and business stakeholders, acting as a trusted point of contact for end-user technology needs. Own incidents and service requests through to resolution, ensuring timely communication, follow-up, and coordination with relevant support teams. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops, workstations, peripherals, and related end-user equipment. Support Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange Online, endpoint management, and identity and access management processes. Troubleshoot and support remote access solutions, including Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, VPN connectivity, and virtual workspace technologies. Support business-critical applications and market data platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, LSEG/Reuters, and similar financial services tools. Perform desktop and connectivity troubleshooting across networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, and VPN services. Support mobile devices and mobile device management (MDM) platforms, including Intune, MobileIron, iOS, and Android devices. Provide support for collaboration and conferencing technologies, including Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, Cisco VoIP, and meeting room solutions. Assist with the triage and resolution of high-priority technology incidents, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and technical teams. Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM platforms, maintaining accurate documentation, updates, and resolution records. Support onboarding, offboarding, workstation deployments, office moves, and end-user equipment lifecycle management. Maintain asset inventories, support documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational best practices. Utilize tools such as PowerShell, SCCM, Intune, BeyondTrust, and endpoint management solutions to improve support processes and operational efficiency. Participate in after-hours support, occasional weekend work, and travel between office locations as required. Requirements At least 5 years of hands-on Desktop Support, End User Support, Trade Floor Support, or Technical Support experience within a fast-paced enterprise environment. Previous experience within a hedge fund, asset management, trading, investment banking, financial technology, or capital markets environment is highly preferred. Strong experience supporting Windows desktop environments, including hardware, operating systems, peripherals, and workstation troubleshooting. Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange Online, endpoint management platforms, and remote access technologies. Experience supporting Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, VPN solutions, and remote users. Familiarity with financial services applications and market data platforms, including Bloomberg, FactSet, and LSEG/Reuters. Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, application, network, mobile, and collaboration technologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users, including senior business stakeholders. Experience using ITSM platforms such as JIRA Service Management, ServiceNow, or similar tools. Exposure to PowerShell, scripting, SCCM, Intune, automation, or endpoint management technologies is advantageous. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
