About this role

About the Organisation Asia Community Foundation (ACF) is the first Asia-wide platform for collaborative and strategic giving. ACF enables donors to pool resources, co-create solutions, and drive positive social and environmental impact across the region. Through donor-advised funds, impact funds, and bespoke giving vehicles, ACF helps philanthropists give with confidence, transparency, and impact. ACF has recently launched Shared Impact Philanthropy (ShIP), a new regional offering that will make it easier for funders and nonprofits to work together, providing shared systems, hosting, and operational support so partners can focus on what really matters: driving impact across Asia. This is the work of putting good intention into action. Helping to incubate transformative solutions and turn ideas into results. It’s about building what doesn’t yet exist: new systems, new partnerships, new ways of enabling philanthropy to flourish. Role Overview (Contract Role) Reporting to the Programme Director, this Singapore-based position will play a key role in facilitating a climate-focused coordination initiative hosted within ShIP, helping to convene and nurture the regional climate funder ecosystem across Asia in service of community-rooted climate action. Working closely with the ACF Singapore team, the role will cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with funders, intermediaries, and ecosystem partners; catalyze regional collaboration through grants, joint initiatives, and cross-sector partnerships; and enhance coordination, alignment, and collective action across a diverse network of stakeholders to advance shared impact in Asia. This position is suited to someone who is trusted across boundaries, moves fluidly between strategic conversations and relational work, and brings a genuine feel for how the Asian philanthropic and civil society ecosystem functions and how it could function better. Key Responsibilities 1. Ecosystem Coordination & Strategic Collaboration Facilitation Support stronger coordination, alignment, and convergent action across the ecosystem by identifying collaboration opportunities, reducing fragmentation, and translating dialogue into actionable pathways and collective initiatives. Facilitate strategic engagement across organisations, initiatives, and thematic areas, support priority setting and initiative shaping, and help develop regionally grounded approaches that strengthen coherence, leadership development, and long-term collective impact across Asia. 2. Partnership Development & Stakeholder Engagement Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships across the regional ecosystem — including funders, civil society organisations, research institutions, intermediaries, and peer platforms. Serve as a connective presence across diverse stakeholders, fostering shared understanding, strengthening relationships, and creating opportunities for exchange, learning, and collaboration. Support continuity and momentum across conversations, convenings, and partnerships, while contributing to the development of Asia-led ways of working that reflect the region’s relationship dynamics, trust-building norms, and decision-making rhythms. 3. Portfolio Management (Programmes, Initiatives & Grants) Lead the development and delivery of a complex and evolving portfolio of grants, projects, and collaborative initiatives across the region. Oversee portfolio coordination, grant and project management, partner engagement, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (M&E) processes to ensure programmes remain adaptive, responsive, and strategically aligned. The role also includes identifying ecosystem gaps where new collective initiatives are needed and supporting the design, resourcing, and incubation of enabling structures to sustain them over time. 4. Strategic Problem-Solving & Innovation Apply creativity, judgment, and systems thinking to navigate complex challenges and emerging opportunities within a dynamic regional landscape. Lead the incubation of new initiatives, develop enabling structures and collaborative pathways, and design practical responses to evolving ecosystem needs and strategic priorities. Experience / Attributes Sector leader with in-depth understanding of Asia’s philanthropic, civil society, and development landscape, and over 8 years of demonstrated experience in strategy and end-to-end programme design and execution in climate, sustainability, or related fields Exceptional relationship-buildin…
