Key Summary Support PV/biomass EMS project as a hands-on Control System Engineer. The role will assist the EMS Lead with SCADA/RTU coordination, field signal integration, communication testing, FAT/SAT support, commissioning preparation and documentation. Key Responsibilities · Support review of EMS/SCADA/RTU architecture, I/O list, tag list and network layout. · Assist with SCADA tag, alarm, trend, report, screen and user-access configuration. · Support PLC/RTU/PAC, remote I/O, Modbus TCP/RTU, RS485 and Ethernet communication testing. · Assist with I/O loop checks, dry contact signals, meter data, field device status and troubleshooting. · Support integration coordination for PV/BESS, biomass, diesel generator, power meters, weather station, MV switchgear status and remote I/O points. · Prepare and maintain documentation such as I/O tracker, tag tracker, test records, punch list and handover files. · Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and O&M handover together with APECO, Kraftia, vendors and site team. Job Requirement · Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or related field. · Fresh graduate with strong internship/project experience may be considered; 1 to 3 years experience is preferred. · Basic hands-on knowledge of PLC,RTU, SCADA/HMI, remote I/O, instrumentation or industrial control systems. · Basic understanding of Modbus,RS485, Ethernet, digital/analog signals, relay/dry contact signals and control wiring. · Able to read basic SLD, control architecture, wiring diagram, I/O list, cable schedule and technical manuals. · Good Excel/documentation skills and willingness to learn project-specific EMS/SCADA systems. Advantage / Nice to have · Exposure to Advantech Web Access SCADA, AMAX controller/PAC, AMAX-5000 I/O or ADAM remote I/O modules. · Exposure to CODESYS, IEC 61131-3PLC programming, OPC UA, MQTT, SQL/database, historian or dashboard/ reporting tools. · Experience in solar PV, BESS, powerplant, substation, data centre EPMS/BMS or industrial automation projects. · Experience with industrial switches, CAT6, fiber/SFP links, site commissioning, FAT/SAT or troubleshooting. Candidate Profile · Hands-on, practical and willing to learn; suitable for junior to normal/mid-level engineer. · Comfortable working with both software and field hardware: SCADA screens, controller/I/O devices, cables, terminals and test records. · Good communication and documentation discipline; able to coordinate with internal team, vendors and site personnel. Scope The role supports EMS/SCADA monitoring, metering, alarm/event acquisition, data logging, reporting, communication and approved supervisory control where required. Protection functions, trip logic and fault clearing remain under protection relays, switchgear circuits, equipment PLCs and OEM/vendor systems.
