RoleSummary The QualityAssurance Manager is responsible for leading and managing all quality‑relatedactivities to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 13485, customer‑specificrequirements, and internal quality standards. This role supports automotiveTier‑1 customers by ensuring robust PPAP submissions, effective inspectionsystems, metrology capability, and continuous improvement across manufacturingprocesses. KeyResponsibilities QualityManagement System (QMS) Plan and conduct internal audits, process audits, and layered process audits. Lead corrective and preventive actions (8D, root cause analysis, effectiveness verification). Customer & Supplier Quality Manage PPAP submissions (Level 3 and above), including PSW approval. Interface with customers on quality issues, audits, complaints, and scorecards. Lead customer problem resolution and warranty/field issue containment. Manage supplier quality performance, audits, and incoming quality issues. Inspection & Metrology Oversee CMM and SmartScope programming, setup, and measurement validation. Ensure inspection plans, MSA, GR&R, and gauge calibration systems are effective. Validate measurement capability to meet customer drawing and GD&T requirements. Manufacturing Quality Control Ensure control plans, PFMEA, SOPs, and work instructions are implemented and followed. Monitor process capability (Cp, Cpk) and drive continuous improvement. Support new product introduction (NPI), APQP, and process validation activities. People & Leadership Drive quality mindset and awareness throughout the organization. Provide training on quality tools and standards (APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA). Continuous Improvement & Compliance Lead quality improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints. Ensure compliance with customer‑specific requirements (CSR) and statutory/regulatory needs. Report quality performance KPIs to management. Qualifications& Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of quality experience in automotive manufacturing Familiar with stamping, machining, springs, or precision metal components is a must Hands‑on experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 13485 certification and audits. Strong working knowledge of PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA. Experience working as a Tier‑2 automotive supplier is required.
