Secondary School English Specialist

Responsibilities · Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE secondary syllabus. · Assess students’ learning needs and customise lesson plans to maximise learning outcomes. · Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, continuous writing, situational writing, listening, and oral communication skills. · Strengthen students’ critical reading, argument development, and effective written and spoken communication. · Mark assignments, monitor student progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback. · Prepare students for school assessments and national examinations. · Develop students’ confidence, critical thinking, and ability to express ideas clearly. · Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment. · Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress. · Develop teaching resources, lesson materials, and classroom activities. · Uphold ATOP Academy’s teaching standards, values, and commitment to academic excellence. Requirements · GCE A-Level, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Education, English, or a related field. · Good command of spoken and written English. · Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Secondary English syllabus and assessment requirements. · Passion for teaching and supporting secondary school students. · Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. · Responsible, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success. · Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage but not required.
