ALG Talent is hiring Aircraft Paint Technicians on behalf of our client, a globally recognised leader in business aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services. Our client has successfully relocated experienced aircraft paint technicians from around the world. This is a permanent role. Job Responsibilities Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting including stripping, sanding, grinding, buffing, masking, and sealing. Apply Alodine, putty, primer, and base coat to aircraft surfaces using spray guns and related painting equipment. Apply stripes, decals, vinyl appliques, and custom artwork to aircraft surfaces per engineering drawings and customer instructions. Perform touch-up, polishing, and spot-in work to achieve a high-quality finished appearance. Mix and manage different paint systems including high solids, conventional, lacquer, and metallic paints. Read and interpret engineering drawings, customer instructions, maintenance manuals, and design renderings. Set up and operate paint pots, spray guns, and related painting equipment. Perform colour matching and metallic blending applications (senior grades). Carry out laser eye and projection image lay-outs for custom stripe and artwork applications (senior grades). Interface professionally with customers, design teams, and sales department as required. Train and mentor junior paint technicians. Document all work performed in accordance with the Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM). Adhere to all safety procedures including use of respirator and PPE. Job Requirements Minimum 3 to 4 years of hands-on aircraft painting experience in an aerospace or MRO environment. Candidates with 6 or more years of experience will be considered for senior (Master) grade positions. Proven experience in aircraft surface preparation: stripping, sanding, buffing, masking, and priming. Proficiency with spray guns, paint pots, and related painting equipment. Working knowledge of paint mixing and various paint systems (high solids, conventional, lacquer). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and maintenance manuals. Ability to accurately identify and distinguish colours is essential for this role due to aircraft paint matching and inspection requirements. Ability and willingness to wear a respirator throughout the workday. Able to work in a non-air-conditioned hangar environment and safely perform duties involving paints, coatings, and approved chemicals while using the required PPE and respirator. Strong English communication skills, written and spoken. Willingness to relocate permanently to the United Kingdom. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week).
