About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Merchandising Data Specialist to support the growth of our Arc'teryx & Descente division in Southeast Asia (SEA), covering countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. This role serves as a key link between the merchandising teams at headquarters and the local markets, ensuring accurate data insights and smooth operations. It provides an excellent opportunity for a young professional with strong analytical skills to develop a career in the sports and lifestyle retail industry. Responsibilities: Analyze regional merchandising data, including inventory levels, sell-through rates, sales performance, and product structure, to support business decision-making. Prepare and submit accurate reports in a timely manner for both internal use and headquarters requirements. Monitor shipment schedules from headquarters, track delivery progress, and promptly report any exceptions or delays. Maintain systems for inventory checks and seasonal order management, ensuring data accuracy and smooth operation during buying sessions. Verify seasonal purchase orders and provide timely feedback on merchandise contracts. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams at global headquarters to ensure smooth execution of merchandising and retail operations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or above in Statistics, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline. No prior experience required; up to 2 years’ experience in data/statistical analysis or a merchandising-related role will be an advantage. Strong analytical skills with high numerical sensitivity; proficient in Microsoft Excel and related software. Well-organized, logical thinker with a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in both Mandarin and English in order to liaise with colleagues in China and SEA countries. A passion for sports is a must.
