Job Overview We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer to join our shipyard team and support quality assurance and quality control activities across marine and offshore projects. You will be involved in inspections, audits, quality documentation, welding and fabrication activities, and working closely with production, contractors and clients to ensure project quality standards are met. Fresh graduates with a Diploma in Engineering or Quality Management are welcome to apply. Responsibilities: • Assist QA/QC Manager to manage, implement and maintain Company Shipyard (QEHS) Management System; To plan and conduct Internal Audit for Company, and support to external and customer audit. • Perform on-site supplier/sub-contractor audits and capability assessments to ensure and comply with company quality procedures and project requirements. • Perform site surveillance to adhere to Construction Control Procedures and Project Quality Plan. • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Project Quality Plan to ensure that all construction inspection and testing activities are comply with project standards, specifications, and contractual requirements. • Oversees quality assurance and quality control activities from incoming inspection of materials, assembly, to final inspection throughout the entire construction lifecycle . • Liaise with Contractor, Production, Surveyor and Client’s representative to ensure the product is checked and complied with the Project Quality Plan and Specifications. • Assist to prepare Weld Map and Weld Plan for structural and piping fabrication traceability. • Compile and maintain accurate and comprehensive quality documentation for all QA/QC activities, inspections and test results according to the Project Quality Plan. • Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, root-cause investigations and timely close-out; Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports. • Manage calibration and inspection accuracy of the measuring equipment; Maintain Calibrated Measuring Equipment Log. • Information dissemination and support to QA/QC team for day-to-day activities with respect to quality functions. • Involve in field administrative nature to assure the department work flows effectively. • Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health and environmental (QEHS) policies, practices and procedures at all times. • Perform any other tasks as and when assigned by immediate supervisor. Requirements: • Minimum Diploma in Engineering or Quality Management. • At least 2 years of QA/QC inspection experience in in offshore marine, oil and gas and shipyard industries • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications and define inspection standards • Functional knowledge of steel fabrication, welding processes, codes/standards (AWS, DNV, ASME etc) • Familiarity with ISO standards such as ISO9001, ISO3834, ISO14001, ISO45001, EN1090 • Willingness to learn and develop problem-solving skills to address quality issue on-site • Relevant certifications such as ISO Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor, Welding Inspector would have an added advantage • Quality-focused mindset • A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team. • Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task. • Computer literary (MS.
