Project Engineer

Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager / Asst Project Manager in leading and managing the project on site and updating of project plan, progress and final reports needed for the periodic management meetings. Prepare costing during quotation stage, plan and manage project budget including selection and management of sub-contractors. Monitor compliance of all project manpower, including sub-contractors on the shipyard management system and achieve the objectives and targets related to quality, occupational health, safety, security and environment. Lead the daily vessel safety coordination committee meeting and manage the activities to ensure on-time results and responses to action items including follow-up with other departments, external suppliers and sub-contractors. Plan and manage project budget including selection and management of sub-contractors. Coordinate with other department managers to monitor milestones and project deadlines. Analyse data and information to recommend and ensure continuous process improvement. Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor. Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times. Requirements Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Naval Architecture or related discipline. Diploma holders will require 2 years of working experience. Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task. A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Preparedness for overseas assignments at times.
