Trade Finance Operations Support (Contract)

Job Summary At least 3 years of Banking Operations hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: - trade finance operations, loans administration, guarantees or current accounts and remittances. Responsibilities Create and maintain accurate customer records in Midas, including related parties such as directors and authorized signatories Review and control customers’ credit facility and limit usage Verify customers’ credit facility documentation and confirm all precedent conditions are met before drawdown Arrange funding for loan drawdowns and rollovers Assist in preparing regulatory and internal reports Download and review Swift AMH messages Review recorded transactions and perform reconciliations to ensure data accuracy Follow up with counterparties on unreconciled Nostro items to resolve discrepancies Check and verify Loan Advices, Guarantee Letters and fee invoices Conduct market price checks and support inquiries in the Trade Finance Registry Handle remittances and provide month-end statements to customers Manage audit confirmation requests from customers Support other duties and ad-hoc tasks as necessary to maintain operational efficiency Competencies and qualifications Knowledge of UCP600 & ISBP rules to support documentary credit operations Fluent written and spoken English; ability to converse in Mandarin is preferred Familiar with Singapore banking regulations and practices Ability to handle full sets of Import/Export documents including Letters of Credit (LC), financing, discounting, advising, and Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) is preferred Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Soft Skills ● Strong interpersonal and communication skills ● Customer-oriented ● Well-organized and meticulous ● Work well in a mutli-cultural environment ● Ability to work independently, self-motivated and strong team player ● Strong problem-solving skills.
