Finance Officer

The successful candidate will join the Bank’s Budget & Planning Department which is responsible for the Bank’s accounting activities, regulatory, management and Head Office reporting, GST and income tax matters, and payments & claims processing operations. The key duties are preparation of accounting entries on fixed assets accounting, general expenses processing and nostro reconciliation. Additionally, the incumbent will assist in the following: · Daily preparation of reports for compliance with regulatory requirements and exception monitoring of branch’s financials performance. · Preparation of reports for submission to regulatory authorities, Head Office and Branch Management. . Participates in the implementation of new and revised regulatory, statutory, Head Office and Branch Management reporting. · Preparation of annual budget to Head Office. . Attends to queries from regulatory authorities, Head Office, Branch Management and external auditors. . Assists in preparation and submission of various tax reports and streamlining existing work processes on tax reporting. . Participates in the implementation of new systems implementations. The preferred candidate must satisfy the following requirements: · Degree in Accountancy or equivalent · At least 4 years of relevant working experience · Possesses strong experience in general expenses processing and account reconciliation . Experience in MAS649 preparation, Quarterly Income & Expenditure, Annual Survey of Services · Able to multitask and work under tight timelines · Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
