The responsibilities include coordinating manuscript submissions and reviews, supporting data collection for research, and organizing meetings, workshops, and seminars. Additionally, the role may require using AI or data analytics to streamline workflows or support research analysis. Job Responsibilities: Journal Management: Oversee the editorial and administrative procedures for the publication of the in-house journal, including manuscript submission, coordination of peer reviews, and ensuring publication timelines are met. Research Coordination: Support the execution of research projects by assisting in the management of data collection, preparation of applications for ethical review (Institutional Review Board, IRB), and coordinating grant submissions. Scheduling and Event Planning: Manage scheduling for various research activities, including meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences. Ensure seamless coordination of venues, participants, and other resources for events organized by the research unit. Event Coordination: Organize and manage events related to the research initiatives, including editorial board meetings, research seminars, and conferences. Ensure proper logistical support and timely execution of events. Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative assistance for daily operations, including document management, report preparation, handling of correspondence, and supporting research-related processes. Data Analytics Support: If applicable, leverage AI or data analytics skills to streamline journal processes, analyze research data, or improve the efficiency of event planning and reporting activities. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the point of contact for communication with authors, reviewers, research teams, and other stakeholders involved in the journal’s publication and research projects. Documentation Management: Maintain up-to-date records for all journal submissions, peer reviews, IRB processes, and research-related activities to ensure proper documentation and smooth workflow. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including research teams, administrative units, and external partners, to facilitate smooth execution of journal and research-related tasks. Job Requirements : A Degree with Honors in education, social sciences, life sciences, communications, or a related field. Experience in journal management, research support, or IRB submissions is preferred. Strong communication and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and basic Power Automate/Power BI. Attention to detail with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
