Summary: The Nursing Aide provides support and assistance to registered and enrolled nurses in the delivery of nursing care to residents with mental health conditions in a psychiatric welfare home setting. They play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the residents while ensuring their well-being and basic needs are met. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with personal hygiene care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming residents. Monitoring residents' physical and mental health, reporting any concerns or changes to the nursing staff. Assisting with feeding and hydration needs of residents, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and fluids. Providing basic first-aid and taking vital signs as directed by the nursing staff. Helping to maintain a clean and sanitized environment in the residents' living areas and common spaces. Assisting with recreational activities and social interaction for residents. Following established safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of residents and staff. Documenting care provided in residents' medical records as directed by the nursing staff. Performing other duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse or Assistant Nurse, which may include: Escorting residents to appointments or outings, assisting with medication administration under supervision and ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment.
