Job Responsibilities Operate and monitor the Process Control System (PCS) and perform hands-on field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable grease manufacturing and plant utility operations. Execute production activities in accordance with production schedules, operating procedures, and quality standards to achieve production targets. Supervise and coordinate contractors involved in raw material handling, grease manufacturing, and filling operations while ensuring compliance with HSSE and operational requirements. Monitor process parameters, respond promptly to alarms, and take corrective actions during abnormal operating conditions. Perform production-related SAP (GSAP) transactions, including production order release, completion, and inventory movements. Conduct product sampling, penetration testing, and quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications. Operate and maintain plant utilities, including boilers, steam systems, air compressors, thermal oil systems, hot water systems, and cooling water systems. Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of process equipment, including pumps, filters, strainers, valves, and instrumentation. Perform routine piping activities such as flange opening, orifice plate installation, pressure gauge replacement, and line draining when required. Monitor raw material, additive, and packaging inventories, coordinate replenishment, and perform stock counts and tank dipping activities. Support bulk additive unloading, mini-bulk tank operations, and material handling activities. Ensure accurate documentation of production records, batch process data, shift handovers, and operational logs. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure manufacturing areas remain clean, safe, and organized. Support Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), gas testing, and other plant safety activities. Coordinate with maintenance and laboratory teams to minimize production downtime and ensure product quality. Participate in toolbox meetings, safety walks, emergency response drills, incident reporting, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop or update work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and provide training and coaching to operators and contractors as required. Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Manager or Supervisor. Job Requirements ITE Higher Nitec, Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Possess a valid Singapore Steam Attendant Class 2 Certificate (Mandatory). Experience operating process plant equipment within the chemical, lubricant, grease, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry is preferred. Experience operating Process Control Systems (PCS), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), or SCADA systems is an advantage. Knowledge of boiler operations, steam systems, air compressors, thermal oil systems, cooling water systems, and other plant utilities. Familiarity with grease manufacturing or batch processing operations is advantageous. Experience using SAP or GSAP for production transactions is preferred. Knowledge of Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), gas testing, and safe work practices. Hands-on experience performing basic mechanical troubleshooting and routine maintenance of process equipment. Strong understanding of manufacturing quality standards, production documentation, and operational procedures. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively during abnormal operating conditions. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to supervise contractors and work effectively within a team. Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications.
