Resident Architecture

1. Coordinate the quality assurance and quality control activities, including enforcement and inspections of architectural, structural and mechanical/electrical works. 2. Liaise, coordinate and cooperate with Other Consultants to resolve on-site design and technical/coordination issues in a timely manner. 3. Seek clarification from the SO/SOR/SORA on any apparent discrepancies between site and contract drawings, specification requirement, approved shop drawing, CSD and room book, etc. before giving any directions to the Contractor. 4. Attend & provide timely and quality advice to the other Site Staff/ RTO in resolving problems. 5. Attend relevant On-Site and Off-Site Work Inspections. 6. Attend and report on mock-up / prototype reviews. 7. Liaise with the Contractor on all issues related to compliance to site safety and health requirements. 8. Attend to Contractor’s queries and Request for Works Inspection for works in a timely manner. 9. Organize and work in tandem with the assigned Site Staff/ RTOs to conduct the daily routine checks, monitoring, inspection and review of works for compliance with design intent, plans and specifications and quality standards. 10. Monitor, assess and record on daily basis the works progress. 11. Monitor and report on the Contractor’s enforcement of safety practices. 12. Sign certification of supervision form for façade works. 13. Attend meetings & working sessions as required by the Superintending Officer (SO) appointed by the Employer under the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC), and the Superintending Officer Representative (SOR) and Superintending Officer Assistant (SORA) appointed by the Superintending Officer (SO). 14. Organize the information gathering and compilation, and render assistance to the Other Consultants in the review of Contractor’s Claims. 15. Report regularly on the overall project status, assist with the preparation of certificate of stage completion, progress reports, design coordination,…
