Business Analyst (Data Migration)

Job Description We are seeking a motivated Data Migration Business Analyst to support public sector transformation initiatives. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of experience in data, development, or information systems. You will work within a Data Migration team alongside business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to support end-to-end migration from legacy systems. The role offers hands-on exposure to data analysis, requirements gathering, and testing under the guidance of a Data Migration Lead. 1. Requirements Gathering & Workshops Support workshops with business users to:Document legacy data, screens, and reportsIdentify data cleansing needsDefine data mappings (As-Is to To-Be)Capture transformation rules and business logic Clarify requirements and maintain proper documentation and traceability 2. Functional Collaboration Work with Functional Consultants to:Support data field mapping and validationAssist in defining migration approaches Support UAT activities:Prepare test scenarios and datasetsTrack defects and follow up on resolutions 3. Data Migration Support Perform data profiling and basic analysis Identify data quality issues (missing, inconsistent, duplicates) Assist in defining cleansing rules and transformation logic Support testing and validation of migration scripts and outputs 4. Documentation Prepare and maintain: Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) Data cleansing and transformation specifications Workshop notes and requirements Ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with standards 5. Data Validation & Testing Support data validation and reconciliation checks Track and resolve defects during testing Ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data Job Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field Fresh graduates or up to 3 years’ experience in: Data migration, data analysis, or software development Business analysis in IT projects Technical Skills Basic understanding of: Data migration concepts (ETL, mapping, cleansing, transformation) Databases and SQL Exposure to tools such as Excel, SQL, or ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory is a plus) Ability to analyze and interpret datasets Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good documentation and organization skills Attention to detail and accuracy Proactive team player with willingness to learn Desirable Knowledge of Salesforce data migration and Azure tools (ADF, Databricks, Airflow) Familiarity with data migration practices (mapping, cleansing, masking, reconciliation) Understanding of public sector processes Let's talk about what's in it for you!
