About this role

Job Description Support the lifecycle maintenance and continuous improvement of released embedded products. Investigate customer-reported issues and field failures through systematic root-cause analysis and debugging. Develop, implement, and validate firmware enhancements, defect fixes, and product updates. Analyze product impacts and risks associated with design changes, component substitutions, and firmware modifications. Support component obsolescence, resiliency, and product cost-reduction initiatives. Collaborate with hardware, software, quality, manufacturing, and product management teams to deliver sustainable solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and engineering reports. Support manufacturing, qualification, and production-related engineering activities when required. Job Requirements Education Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems or firmware engineering. Proven experience in developing and supporting real-time embedded systems. Experience in product sustenance, customer issue resolution, or continuation engineering is highly desirable. Experience in industrial automation, industrial communication products, or control systems is an advantage. Technical Skills Strong programming skills in C and C++. Experience with 32-bit microcontrollers (preferably ARM-based platforms). Strong understanding of RTOS-based embedded applications. Experience developing low-level device drivers and board support software. Experience with debugging embedded hardware and software issues. Familiarity with version control systems (Git), static analysis tools, and Agile development practices. Knowledge of communication protocols below is a plusTCP/IPEthernetCANUSBSerial communication protocols Experience with automated testing and unit testing frameworks is a plus.
