Responsibilities Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain application features across the Angular frontend, Java Spring Boot backend and MySQL database, leveraging AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to improve efficiency and code quality; Build user interfaces, backend APIs and business logic, database schemas and queries, system integration, defect fixing, performance tuning, deployment support, and technical documentation, with the support of AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and enhance consistency; Develop and execute unit tests for frontend and backend modules, including the use of AI-assisted techniques to improve test coverage and identify edge cases; Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with the Authority’s coding standards and best practices (i.e. OWASP Secure Coding Practices); Support application build, packaging, and deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments; Troubleshoot and resolve application issues identified during development, testing, or production operation, leveraging AI-assisted diagnostics and analysis tools to improve resolution efficiency; Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system design, API specifications, and database documentation; Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, participate in agile delivery activities, and ensure delivered components are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and technical requirements; Manage Tech Projects for systems operational and maintenance works together with new initiatives/enhancements that are outsourced to our existing ICT O&M contractors; and Collaborate with business & technology stakeholders, work closely with external parties, ICT providers or government agencies to drive new initiatives/enhancements. Requirements At least 3 years of experience as software developer/engineer or equivalent position, preferably in Agile projects; Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline; Strong proficiency in one or more programming language (i.e. Java/Python/.Net); Strong proficiency in frontend framework (i.e. JavaScript/ HTML5/ CSS3/ Angular/React); Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI or similar) and modern development framework; Experience in Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, et cetera.; Demonstrated ability to tackle complex, abstract programming challenges with creative solutions; Demonstrated experience in using AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery of product features, improve test coverage, and support continuous product enhancement; Knowledge of application security and best practices in application development standards and methodologies; and Experience in driving product development through Agile methodologies, leveraging Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing practices to iteratively deliver, validate and enhance product outcome.
