About this role
Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee the full tender process from pre-tender to submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines. - Review tender specifications,drawings, and scope of work to identify key commercial, technical, and contractual risks. - Develop tender strategy, pricing methodology, and submission timeline in coordination with senior management. - Manage tender clarifications, addenda, and ensure all updates are incorporated accurately. - Conduct tender review andpost-tender meetings with management and project teams. - Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all M&E systems, including: HVAC, FireProtection, Plumbing & Sanitary, Electrical, ELV, and associated works. - Review and validate quantity take-offs, material costing, and labour rates prepared by the QS and estimation team. - Analyze historical data and market trends to benchmark and optimize pricing. - Ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost summaries, BOQs, and commercial proposals. - Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. - Review subcontractor proposals for technical compliance, completeness, and cost-effectiveness. - Build and maintain a strong database of reliable suppliers and subcontractors. - Ensure all submissions meet the client’s technical and commercial requirements. - Support management in tender presentations, clarifications, and negotiation meetings. Requirements: Bachelor's of Science in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. At least 8-12 years of experience in tendering and contract management, preferably within M&E or construction sectors. Proficient in cost estimation software, Glodon, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Naviswork and MS Office. Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (PSSCOC, SIA, FIDIC, etc.) Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and M&E systems. Proficient in cost estimation, contract law and commercial negotiation. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and leadership skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders or projects concurrently. Working location: East region
