Workplace Safety And Health Coordinator (Wshc)

Responsibilities: • Perform as a safety assessor role for the Permit-To-Work system • Inspect and rectify any unsafe place of work and unsafe practices. • Check sub-contractors work to ensure compliance with the relevant statutory Acts and Regulations. • Liaison with sub-contractors with respect to safety work undertaken by them. • Assist the WSHO in organizing safety awareness activities such as toolbox meetings, safety orientation, safety- related training, safety promotional activities, etc. • Ensure that the issuance of personal protective equipment is properly recorded and documented. • Ensure supervisors and workers are following safe work procedures compliance. • Assist to investigate all site incidents/accidents & implement corrective measures to prevent a recurrence. • Establishing emergency preparedness procedures in collaboration with Police, Emergency Response, Medical Services and interfacing contractors. • Enforces all safety requirements and in-house safety rules and regulations. Job Requirement • Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferably in the LTA project/ building construction industry. • Possess a Certificate in Safety Coordinators Course from approved institutes, Confined space, and Work at Height Assessor certificates • Able to work independently with a positive attitude • Possess good leadership and organizing abilities • Able to join with short notice
