About this role

Role Overview The Assistant Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial integrity of the Group. The incumbent will take ownership of the full set of accounts and provide day-to-day oversight of the Group's finance function. Working closely with senior management, external advisors, and auditors, the successful candidate will ensure that the Group's financial records are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. This is a hands-on yet forward-looking position designed with progression in mind: the incumbent will be groomed to take on greater responsibility and, over time, to step up into the Finance Manager role. Key Responsibilities • Prepare, maintain, and take full ownership of the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and month-end and year-end closing. • Provide oversight of the Group's finance function, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting across all entities. • Serve as the primary liaison with external advisors, auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial partners, coordinating audit requirements and resolving queries efficiently. • Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules in accordance with prevailing accounting standards. • Oversee cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and treasury matters to maintain healthy working capital across the Group. • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations, including GST filing, corporate tax computations, and statutory reporting deadlines. • Review and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and risk management. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide meaningful financial insight to management. • Mentor and guide junior finance staff, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development. • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects, analyses, and reporting as required by management. Requirements • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA). • A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a multi-entity or group environment. • Proven, hands-on ability to independently manage the full set of accounts from source documents through to financial statements. • Strong working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS). • Experience liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and advisors. • Hands-on proficiency in Xero accounting software and a strong command of Microsoft Excel. • Meticulous, well-organised, and able to meet tight reporting deadlines with minimal supervision. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with external parties. What We Offer • A clear progression pathway, with the opportunity to grow into the Finance Manager role over time. • A key finance role with genuine ownership and visibility across the Group. • Exposure to the full spectrum of finance, audit, tax, and advisory matters. • A collaborative environment that values initiative, integrity, and professional growth.
