About the Role As part of the continued growth of our regional insurance practice, the international insurance team based in Singapore is seeking a 1-2PQE associate to support the team on a range of insurance coverage matters and disputes. The Associate will report to Partner, Priya Gobal. This is an exciting opportunity for a top-quality Associate to join a Band-1 market-leading team which focuses on regional, complex and high-value coverage matters across a range of insurance business lines including Financial Lines, Casualty, Credit Risk and Reinsurance. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist Partners on a range of complex and large-scale insurance matters Researching and drafting of documentation, advice and correspondence Helping to oversee a broad range of contentious matters and litigation activities (including the conduct of arbitration and management of local counsel in contentious matters globally) Assisting the Partners in managing and building client relationships, including assisting with business development activities for key existing clients and new clients. Candidate Profile The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience: Must be qualified in E&W, Australia or another common law jurisdiction Solid private practice background with a reputable law firm Exposure / experience in insurance space is helpful but not a prerequisite Strong commercial litigation / arbitration skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Outstanding academic results Technical excellence, personal effectiveness and ability to perform as a team player Enthusiasm to contribute to and foster a positive team atmosphere.
