Senior Instrument & Control Supervisor

Job Summary Responsible for supervising and coordinating site construction activities related to Instrumentation & Control (I&C) and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems across industrial facilities, process plants, and commercial building projects. The role ensures safe execution, quality installation, testing, commissioning support, and timely project delivery through system handover. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily installation activities for ELV systems, control systems, instrumentation, cabling, and cable support systems. Oversee the installation of Public Address (PA), Access Control, CCTV, Gas Detection, and Fire Alarm systems. Review method statements, risk assessments, permits, and work packs prior to commencement of site activities. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure work progresses according to schedule. Monitor cable routing, cable pulling, glanding, terminations, and equipment installation to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Support testing and commissioning activities, including continuity testing, pre-functional checks, and system readiness for handover. Conduct site inspections, participate in safety audits, toolbox meetings, and progress review meetings. Identify and resolve construction issues, including design clashes, interface constraints, and installation challenges. Prepare construction progress updates and support punch list closure, turnover documentation, and project handover activities. Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, local authority regulations, and applicable industry standards. Qualifications& Experience Diploma, Higher NITEC, NTC, or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline. Minimum5–10 years of relevant experience in construction supervision, site coordination, or I&C installation activities. Experience in industrial facilities, process plants, life sciences, biopharmaceutical, semiconductor, or data centre projects is preferred. Hands-on experience with ELV systems, instrumentation, and control system installations. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor management, and site execution. Technical Competencies Knowledge of Instrumentation & Control systems and industrial automation practices. Experience with ELV systems, including Fire Alarm, Security, Access Control, CCTV, Gas Detection, and PA systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, method statements ,and inspection requirements. Knowledge of cable support systems, cable schedules, junction boxes, and installation best practices. Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and handover procedures. Understanding of local authority requirements, safety regulations, and applicable electrical standards. Behavioral Competencies Strong leadership and site supervision skills.
