Construction Manager

Position Summary Responsible for leading and managing all construction activities from project commencement through handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead construction team manpower planning, resource allocation, performance monitoring, and staff development. Ensure construction personnel understand project schedules, quality requirements, and assigned responsibilities. Coordinate construction activities with engineering, planning, and other project disciplines. Provide regular construction progress updates to management and stakeholders. Attend client, EHS, internal project, subcontractor, authority, risk, and constructability meetings. Conduct site safety walks, construction reviews, contractor coordination meetings, and subcontractor progress meetings. Review and approve construction methodologies, sequencing plans, material suitability, and safety-in-design assessments. Oversee all site activities, ensuring effective coordination among trades and timely resolution of construction issues. Manage project construction scope to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and budget. Review and approve lifting plans, construction equipment, and temporary works. Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and relevant authority requirements. Maintain construction-related SOPs and support temporary/preliminary work packages. Assume day-to-day Project Manager responsibilities when required. Support commercial performance objectives related to construction activities. Qualifications& Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. Diploma holders may be considered with additional relevant experience or professional certifications. Minimum9–11 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience with RC precast, cast in-situ structures, and steel-framed building construction. Previous experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, pharmaceutical, or high-technology construction projects is highly preferred. Strong experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams. Experience in external works and architectural finishes is advantageous. Technical Competencies Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and administration. Familiarity with MOM regulations, construction codes, and authority requirements. Ability to review construction methodologies, risk assessments, and safety plans. Knowledge of project controls, construction sequencing, and site management practices.
