Full Stack Developer

Job Summary We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing digital applications supporting public sector and enterprise transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, architects, business analysts, and DevOps engineers to deliver user-centric digital solutions across web and cloud platforms. This role involves developing both front-end and back-end components, integrating systems and APIs, and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle from design through deployment and support. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications and digital services. Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries. Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable backend services, APIs, and microservices. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, designers, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Design and implement RESTful APIs and system integrations with internal and external platforms. Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical reviews. Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes to ensure system stability and performance. Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and support user acceptance testing activities. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure applications comply with security, governance, and quality standards. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and best engineering practices. Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specifications and deployment procedures. Required Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in software application development across frontend and backend technologies. Proficiency in modern JavaScript or TypeScript development. Experience developing web applications using React or similar frontend frameworks. Experience developing backend services using Node.js or similar backend technologies. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and system integration concepts. Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases. Familiarity with source code management and version control tools such as Git. Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience building containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures. Experience with application monitoring, logging, and observability tools. Experience developing applications within government, healthcare, banking, or regulated environments. Knowledge of secure application development and cybersecurity best practices. Experience working with public-facing digital services and citizen-centric applications.
