Operations Manager

Operations Manager Manufacturing Engineering & Production Planning Singapore We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in manufacturing engineering, production planning, and operations management within the automobile or manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be skilled in MES, ERP (preferably Odoo), and data-driven decision-making to optimize processes and reduce costs. You will lead a team of 10 professionals, drive continuous improvements, and ensure compliance through effective audit management. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth production planning and execution. Implement and manage Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including Odoo, to support operational efficiency. Utilize data analytics to identify process bottlenecks and lead cost-reduction initiatives. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10 manufacturing and engineering professionals to meet production targets and quality standards. Coordinate and conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, supply chain, and maintenance to drive continuous improvement projects. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational effectiveness and production goals. Should have experience working with working with other teams such as supply chain management, quality, production. Candidate should have good experience in planning, capacity planning, Operational excellence, continuous improvement and bringing best practices to improve manufacturing. Candidate should also have good experience in manufacturing engineering and planning. Required Qualifications Proven experience in operations management within automobile or manufacturing industries. Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and production planning methodologies. Hands-on experience with MES, ERP systems; expertise in Odoo is a plus. Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analyzing operational data to support decision making. Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of 10 or more employees. Excellent audit management skills and knowledge of compliance standards. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive cost-saving initiatives. Preferred Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing experience.
