Sand Control Team Lead Completions – Sand Control & Screens Singapore Reports to: Technology Manager We are seeking an experienced and innovative Sand Control Team Lead to head our engineering initiatives focused on sand control screens, inflow control devices (ICDs), Inflow Control Valves (ICVs). This role is key in driving product development, and delivering robust, field-proven solutions for complex well environments. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, and a drive for innovation and intellectual property (IP) creation in the completions domain. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and testing of sand control technologies , including screens & ICDs. Oversee the execution of advanced simulations (e.g., fluid dynamics, erosion modeling, flow distribution, and tool performance optimization) to support product development. Guide concept generation, feasibility studies, prototyping, and product qualification for new and improved sand control systems. Drive the generation and protection of IP , working closely with internal legal and R&D teams to document innovations and file patents. Support cross-functional collaboration with Product Line, Field Operations, Customers, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to ensure successful product commercialization. Provide engineering review and technical validation of design packages, calculations, materials, and test plans. Apply deep understanding of gravel pack completions , inflow management , and screen retention mechanisms to develop fit-for-purpose downhole solutions. Participate in field failure investigations, product improvements, and root cause analysis processes. Present technical reports, project updates, and engineering documentation to stakeholders and leadership teams. Stay current with industry advancements and apply new technologies and methodologies to improve design efficiency and performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related field. Minimum 8 years of industry experience in the design and development of sand control screens, ICDs, and gravel pack completions . Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and development projects from concept to field deployment. Strong background in advanced simulation techniques supporting tool performance analysis, erosion modeling, and flow dynamics. Proven record of IP generation (e.g., invention disclosures, patents, technical publications). Comprehensive knowledge of gravel pack techniques , inflow control strategies, and screen/tool design. Familiar with API/ISO/ ASME/ASTM standards (API 19SS/ICD/ICV, API 5CT, API 19AC) and industry best practices for downhole tool development. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead discussions across engineering, operations, and commercial teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience in field applications or installations of Sand Control Screens , ICDs, AICDs , or gravel pack systems . Knowledge of smart completions and autonomous inflow control technologies. Proficiency in 3D modelling, CFD simulations and mechanical design software (e.g., Autodesk, Solidworks) Understanding of materials engineering for screen and filtration system durability in challenging environments. Exposure to Lean Product Development or Agile engineering methodologies. Apply for this position
