Overview The Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS) brings together seven national R&D, clinical translation and service programmes to advance clinical research and innovation for Singapore and establish important capabilities for a future-ready healthcare system. The Business Entities under CRIS include: Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI) National Health Innovation Centre (NHIC) Advanced Cell Therapy and Research Institute, Singapore (ACTRIS) Precision Health Research, Singapore (PRECISE) Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium (STCC) Cardiovascular Disease National Collaborative Enterprise (CADENCE) SIngapore Medical FOundation AI model (SIMFONI) PRECISE is the national central entity coordinating Singapore’s multi-phase National Precision Medicine (NPM) programme. Under NPM Phase III, PRECISE works in partnership with Singapore’s healthcare clusters to advance precision medicine through the integration of genomic and healthcare data for clinical application. Within PRECISE, the Chief Technology Officer's Office (CTOO) leads the technology strategy and delivery, serving as the execution backbone that enables genomic data to be securely generated, managed, and applied at national scale for research and clinical impact, as part of Singapore's NPM strategy. About the Role As Manager (Bioinformatics & Data Operations) in the PRECISE Tech Group (PTG), you will be part of the Knowledge Management (KM) team, which serves as a programme enabler across the Tech Group. In this role, you will bring bioinformatics expertise to the KM function, supporting the effective and compliant use of genomic data within secure data environments (e.g., trusted research environments, TREs), and serving as a technically-informed bridge between KM and PTG's genomic data engineering and analysis teams. Responsibilities Manage export vetting workflows for analysis outputs from PTG-supported programmes within TREs, including conducting export checks and coordinating with relevant review teams. Contribute to the development and implementation of scalable and automated approaches to strengthen and improve export vetting processes within TREs. Lead the handling and consolidation of user queries related to genomic data workflows, ensuring timely responses and maintaining quality of user-facing guidance, FAQs, SOPs, and support resources for data users. Serve as the point of contact for export vetting and genomic data workflow support, consolidating updates and preparing materials for internal reporting and stakeholder communications. Apply bioinformatics expertise to engage credibly with PTG's genomic data engineering and analysis teams, supporting knowledge capture, gap identification, and troubleshooting where technical depth is needed. Requirements Master’s or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in bioinformatics, data analysis, or related fields. Experience with genomic data analysis workflows; familiarity with statistical genetics is an advantage. Working knowledge of scripting or data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Bash, Nextflow, Jupyter Notebooks) for hands-on pipeline support and process automation. Experience working in TRE or other secure data environments is preferred. Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and to prepare clear user-facing guidance and documentation.
